With a Heavy Heart... Out of CommissionAh, I'm not sure how I'm really supposed to say all this...
It might just come out in a big mess, so here it goes...
I'm initiating the status of "Out of Commission"
Today, I spent four hours going through piles of accessories, scarves, costumes, props, hoping to find some bout of inspiration and I found nothing.
As I was setting up for the shoot, I discovered that one of my strobes is no longer working properly, and that one of my backdrop sheets had a rip smack dab in the middle of it.
All I could think about the entire time was the criticism that I would likely receive for any number of reasons. I could already feel the stress gnawing at my insides.
I do not enjoy this anymore.
I find myself literally dreading having to go through the steps to create decent stock.
This has simply become more of a chore, an obligation...
I really used to love doing stock, and maybe some day I will feel the excitement and thrill of inspiration flooring me to get back in front of the camera, but for now, I need time away.
All the stock I have in my gallery right now will remain up, and I hope that all of you will continue to create great pieces of artwork (following my set rules of course
)I will be back periodically to check up on things, and who knows, I might be back at some point with the time and imagination to create something new. But now is not that time.
Please know that I really have enjoyed the majority of my time managing this stock page, and I'm grateful for each and every one of you that has taken the time to comb my gallery and create some seriously amazing art. You've all been with me through a lot, and I am sincerely thankful for all of you.
I hope all of you take care and continue to create!
